Environmental Science is taught in room 11 located on the 2nd floor of the Shade Jr-Sr High School. Students will learn topics in Environment and Ecology, Food chains & Pyramids, Species Interactions and Changes to Environment, Environmental Laws, Conservation, Energy Cycles:  Carbon, Nitrogen, Water, etc. Wildlife habitats, forestry & re-introductions of species, Water quality & sampling, Aqua-culture, Aquatics, Treatment facilities: Passive, Sewage, Drinking water, raise brook trout for the Pennsylvania fish and Boat commission (PFBC), Release trout into a Shade township local sustainable fresh water trout stream, etc.
