Welcome to Mrs. Naret's Class!

PTA Christmas Shop

On Wednesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 2 first grade will visit the PTA Christmas Shop in the gymnasium.  If you plan on sending money with your child on one or both days, please place it in an envelope or sandwich bag, write your child’s name, money amount, and provide a list of people they need to shop for.  While we cannot walk around and shop with each student, we can check in on them to see if they need any help.  Also, if you plan on shopping with your child, please make arrangements to come at our designated time.  We will be at the shop on both days from 9:05-9:50.

Mixer Attachments

Hello Everyone!  When the PTA gathered our baking items to prepare our basket for their basket party, they found beaters and a whisk attachment for a hand mixer in one of the bags.  They don't appear to belong with the donation of baking items.  We're wondering if a student accidentally placed the items in a bag and brought them to school.  We did ask the students in both classes if anyone remembered bringing them to school, but no one did.  If they belong to you, please let me know.  Also, please share this with the parents in Mrs. Sabol's class.  Thank you!

Headphones

We are getting ready to begin using the Chromebooks in class.  If you have not already done so, please provide your child with a set a headphones to use during this time.

Scholastic Book Order - Due Friday, November 5, 2021

The Scholastic Book Order for November/December is due no later than Friday, November 5.  I will be placing the order on Friday, November 5 to ensure it arrives by December 17.  You can send the order form/s to school with a check or you may place an order online using the special class code GT888.  If you already have a Scholastic account from last year, or you created one for a sibling, you do not have to create a new one.  All you have to do is link your child to my class using our unique code.  Click here to go to the website.

Please see the attached letters from the President of Scholastic Book Clubs regarding the fulfillment of orders.

Dear Teacher,

As we work through global supply chain issues and labor shortages, new orders are taking longer than usual to process.
If you place a new order by November 5, it will arrive at your school by December 17.

Thank you for your continued support during this challenging time.

Happy reading,
Your friends at Scholastic Book Clubs
