Hello and welcome to my page!  Along the right side of this page you will find links to information that will help you and your child have a successful year in first grade.  I am continually working on my pages to make them a valuable resource for you.

If you would like to receive updates about Superkids Reading or math homework, assignments, and/or tests, you must subscribe separately to each of those classes.  You can do so by scrolling down this page and clicking the links that take you to each class.  Remember, you have to subscribe separately to each class!

Chromebooks

A letter from Mr. Krupper, along with an contractual agreement, was sent home regarding Chromebooks today.  If you agree to the terms, please sign and return the contract tomorrow.  It is my understanding that students in grades K-2 will not be bringing the Chromebooks back and forth to school on a regular basis.  Sending them home is up to the homeroom teacher.  For now, our Chromebooks will be used within the classroom and sent home when needed.

Veteran's Day Photo

All grades will be taking a Veteran's Day photo tomorrow.  Please have your child wear red, white, and blue for the photo.  Thank you!

NO SCHOOL - Tuesday, November 3, 2020

There is NO SCHOOL for students tomorrow, November 3, 2020.  It is a full Act 80 Day for teachers.

Oct. Book-It and Reading Challege are due Tomorrow Nov. 2

October Book-It is Due - worth 20 pts. towards your child's language arts grade
Please do not wait until the last minute to start.  Your child will mostly likely need more than one day to complete this assignment.  If yours has been lost or misplaced, please ask for a new one ASAP.
 
Extra Credit (worth up to 4 points) - October Reading Challenge is due

Halloween Party

A new student joined our class today.  We now have 21 students in our class.  If you plan on sending treats, please be sure to send 21.  Thank you!

Red Ribbon Week

Monday - REaDy for Red - Wear Red
Tuesday - Panthers and Drugs don't mix! - wear mismatched clothes
Wednesday - Team Up Against Drugs! - wear a team jersey or t-shirt
Thursday - Hats On to Being Drug-Free - wear a hat or cap
Friday - Scare Away Drugs - wear your costume

Unit 1 Spelling Test/Homework

Don't forget that our Unit 1 Spelling Homework is due on Tuesday, October 20.  Make sure you complete 3 activities in a row from the Tic-Tac-Toe board and turn them in.
 
Our Unit 1 Spelling Test will also be on Tuesday, October 20.  Your child will be tested on ALL of the Memory Words and 4 Pattern Words will be chosen from the list.

Monday, October 12 - NO SCHOOL

There is NO SCHOOL  for students on Monday, October 12, 2020 due to a teacher in-service day.
 
There is a 12:30 dismissal on Friday, October 16, 2020.

October Book-It - Rubric

A rubric with directions for completing the October Book-It is coming home today in your child's folder.  It was accidentally left out when it was copied and stapled.  Use the rubric as a guide when completing this assignment.  Please turn the rubric in with your assignment once it is completed.  The October Book-It is due on Monday, November 2, 2020. 
 
If you finish this activity early, you may turn it in before it is due.

Student Council Fundraiser

Fundraiser order forms and money are due Friday, October 2.  Only white and yellow forms are to be returned.  Keep the pink form for your reference.  Please send money or checks in a sealed envelope with your child's name written on the front.  Thank you!

Character Counts Week

Tuesday - wear orange for fairness
Wednesday - wear red for caring
Thursday - wear purple for citizenship
Friday - wear blue and yellow for trustworthiness and respect
