Study of American History from 1850 to the present.  There will be a focus on who and/or what made America stronger vs. weaker over the course of history as well as when America grew more personal freedom vs. the government growing stronger.  By the end of the course, students will be able to use history as a guide as to what America's direction should be into the future.
