Welcome Back for the 2023-2024 School Year!

It is my pleasure to welcome back all the students and staff as we prepare for another exciting new
school year. The first student day is Tuesday, August 29, 2023. I hope everyone’s summer has been
filled with fun and pleasure. We have been preparing for the arrival of all of the children and activities
associated with the start of the new school year. As they did last school year, all students K-12 will
receive free breakfast and lunch.
The Shade-Central City School District is committed to continuously making improvements to ensure
your child receives the safest, enriching, and most meaningful education possible. Each year we set
goals and objectives for our students and one of our priorities is to enhance technology opportunities for
our students. Every child has access to their own individual computer with the latest software so they
can access learning at home.
Our professional staff is dedicated to helping each and every child succeed, and monitoring your child’s
academic and overall progress. We encourage all parents to get involved in your child’s education, as we
work together in the best interest of our children. Our ultimate goal is to continuously strive to improve
the overall educational experience for all of the children in the Shade-Central City School District.
