Study of the American Civil War - what led to the war, the battles, the individuals, soldier life, the institution of slavery and the abolition movement as well as the aftermath/Reconstruction.  This course puts an emphasis on the leadership of Abraham Lincoln looking at his leadership and his goals for America.
